# Reference Solution and Assessment Criteria

Complete the initial diagram and gap list before opening this file. The materials are wholly fictional. Assessment concerns reading and expressing relationships, not whether a real project is feasible or investable.

## 1. What the first round supports

| Chain | Supported expression | Unsupported direct conclusion | Cards |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Entities | A describes itself as lead; B proposes to operate; B and D have signed a service order | A controls B through equity or has all operating or disposal authority | E01, E03, E06 |
| Assets | C quoted equipment for sale to B; actual acquisition and delivery remain unverified | B purchased, paid for or owns it | E02 |
| Funds | D's RMB 80,000 advance reached B and belongs to E03 | Investment received, confirmed profit or all available project funds | E03, E04 |
| Proposed funding | E proposes RMB 200,000; recipient, nature, payment and rights remain undefined | Funds received by A or B, or equity or fixed sharing rights acquired by E | E05 |
| Rights | B and D have a service order; advance corresponds to subsequent service and acceptance; E proposes sharing | All customer service delivered, or intention converted into effective rights | E03, E05 |

E01 is a presentation claim that can be recorded. Before cross-checking it, “equipment secured” and “cooperation funding in place” do not establish ownership or investment received.

## 2. What the supplementary cards change

| Original question | New material | Revised expression | Remaining unknown |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| What is A's relationship to B? | E07 | A provides planning and training; B operates externally and performs the corresponding obligations | Other shareholding or control records are absent; neither existence nor absolute absence is established |
| Did B buy the equipment or obtain it otherwise? | E08 | The transaction is a lease: C owns, B uses within scope, and listed equipment was delivered | Rent amount and payment status are absent; full asset verification exceeds the exercise |
| What is D's RMB 80,000 and which stage does it concern? | E09 | B received a customer advance for service still awaiting performance and acceptance | Final settlement, refunds, costs and expenses are absent; profit and total available balance cannot be calculated |
| Has E's RMB 200,000 arrived and what rights follow? | E10 | Unpaid; recipient, nature and rights remain under discussion | Future cooperation, contracting party, timing and rights remain undefined |

The correct asset change is unknown → confirmed lease. An initial purchase line was an unsupported inference to correct, not evidence that the project bought first and leased later.

## 3. Four-chain reference after further evidence

### Entities

- A → B: planning and training under the signed agreement (E07).
- B → D: signed packaging-service order; performance and acceptance pending (E03, E09).
- C ↔ B: equipment lease (E08).
- E: prospective funding partner with no receiving entity determined; do not connect it as an established shareholder or funder (E05, E10).

### Assets

- C → equipment: ownership under the E08 teaching assumption.
- Equipment → B: use within the lease scope, with delivery list (E08).
- E02 remains an earlier quotation, not the explanation of this transaction's method.

### Funds

- D → B: RMB 80,000 order advance, received once only (E03, E04, E09).
- E → recipient undetermined: RMB 200,000 intention, unpaid; dashed or pending (E05, E10).
- B → A service fee and B → C rent: conditional payment arrangements under agreements; amount and payment status absent (E07, E08). Do not mark them paid, or infer no obligation merely because payment records are absent.

Do not describe 80,000 + 200,000 = RMB 280,000 as funds received. Receipt of RMB 80,000 alone does not establish total project balance, net available cash or profit of RMB 80,000.

### Rights

Define arrows consistently: obligated party → rights holder, stating the required performance and conditions. The funds chain uses payer → recipient. Do not quietly reverse the convention.

- B → D: packaging service and acceptance under the order, pending (E03, E09).
- A → B: agreed planning and training; B → A: fee after agreed acceptance conditions (E07).
- C → B: equipment use within the lease; B → C: rent and other agreed obligations (E08).
- E's proposed sharing: recipient, content, conditions and exit undefined; no formal right supported by this packet (E05, E10).

## 4. Why some questions remain

The exercise does not supply complete operating costs, all account movements, all title documents or negotiation outcomes. Unknowns respect that scope.

Absent from materials differs from absent in reality. The supplementary cards change the teaching assessment. Real materials still require checks of provider, version, completeness and authenticity.

## 5. An acceptable next-action example

These are learner suggestions, not confirmed assignments.

| Question | Suggested information roles | Needed materials | Evidence of progress |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| What does “cooperation funding in place” refer to? | A's project-description owner and B's finance-information role | Scope of the public wording, corresponding receipts and agreements | Reconcile payer, recipient, nature and status amount by amount; correct overstatements |
| Who receives E's proposed funding, and what rights follow? | A, E and the prospective receiving party | Confirmed entity, nature, conditions and rights | Separate proposals from agreements and retain unresolved matters |
| Do complete funds and performance arrangements correspond? | B's operations, finance and agreement-information roles | Period cash movements, obligations, rent and fee conditions, performance progress | Reconcile funds with orders, expenses and conditions; do not calculate profit from one advance |

## 6. Self-assessment

Score each item 0, 1 or 2: absent/confused, partly expressed, or substantially clear. The total identifies learning gaps; it is not project approval or professional certification.

| Item | What earns 2 |
| --- | --- |
| Entities and duties | Names, roles and specific relationships distinguished; lead does not imply control |
| Assets and status | Quotation, actual method, ownership, use and delivery distinguished |
| Funding nature and status | RMB 80,000 counted once; RMB 200,000 unpaid with recipient undetermined; not combined as investment received |
| Rights, obligations and conditions | Counterparty, content and conditions identified; intention not shown as acquired rights |
| Evidence and revision | Key lines carry card IDs; changes and remaining unknowns explained |

Whatever the score, first correct leased assets shown as owned, intentions shown as received funds, unsupported equity, duplicate money and “not provided” presented as absolute nonexistence.

Different layout, node placement or colours do not reduce the score. A different drawing is valid if relationships, direction, status and evidence are sound.
